Phriday Photo Edition III

At the height of its prosperity and success, Buenos Aires was a city flush with gorgeous Parisian-inspired architecture and Art Nouveau styles. To imagine how it must have looked 100 years ago is hard to grasp – broad tree-lined avenues, horse-drawn carriages, and soaring intricately decorated buildings with wrought iron balconies and lofty windows. Today many buildings remain in various states of preservation, but nonetheless all offer beautiful and fascinating glimpses into the past. Walking down a modern street with modern-day problems, and suddenly seeing a beauty like this, restores the smile on my face. IMG_4590
